Look on page 684

I have read again something about a page with a number higher than 600. Is it only me that could only see page 413 as latest page?

If you look at the top of any page in this forum you'll see at the top, on the left, something like this:

 Prev 716 717 718 719 720 721 722 Next  Page 721 of 722

You can click on any of those page numbers you'll go to that page; or if you click

on Prev  or Next  you'll get taken to the Previous page or the Next page.

Best of all, if you click on Page ### of ###, yiou can type in the page number that

you want to go to.

This is all simple stuff that you should know if you have ever been to an online forum.

Did you try what I told you to do by clicking to the right of the displayed pages and

typing in the page number ??

Alternately ~~  Try pressing [F5] to renew the page

BJ is trying to help you. It's pretty easy.

Try clicking one time directly on the page number you see, page 414 is the number you say you are seeing.

A box should appear.

Type in the page number you want to go to.

When you do that,Click on the word GO and the page number you typed in will appear.

I'm not sure if I'm misremembering, but isn't there a way to adjust the number of posts you can see per page? If @heaners has that set to a "higher than default" number then they would see fewer total pages. This would also throw off the page location of a specific post being referenced. Just a thought.

On the old system, this is a completely new base for the forums.

You have been given advice but make no comment on how that worked

out so right now it looks as though you are being deliberatly obtuse, and

not even tryng to follow the advice given to you ~~ in which case I can't

help you.

I suggest thqt you go to one of the many other karaoke self-help forums

on the web  ~~ good luck finding one.

@BJtheDJ, I'm going to give you the grace you seem less willing to give others and assume that even though you quoted me and appeared to be responding to my suggestion, that the seemingly aggressive second portion of your comment was targeted at @heaners and not at me, not least because you have no reason whatsoever to speak to me that way.

For both of you, please take this criticism with the love it is intended:  this forum (like any other online forum) allows communication through text only (emojis notwithstanding), and as such some of the intended nuance of a statement can be lost.  It is imperative that we all take a moment when commenting to consider how our statements may come across to someone who does not share our thought processes (in other words, anyone else who is not inside our heads).

@heaners suggestions were made to you to provide some assistance.  I would assume that your statement "currently 414 for me" was likely intended to indicate that your view did not match that of others, but it did not provide any additional context to let anyone assist you further.  As someone who has worked in IT support for two decades now I can assure you that this does not make people want to help you.  In all likelihood this is what led @BJtheDJ to respond as he did above, stating that you appear obtuse.  This was probably not your intent, but please keep in mind that if you do not appear willing to help yourself then you cannot expect others to do it for you (especially if they aren't being compensated for their time).

I used to have a link to CCkaraoke on Mega, but it appears to be gone.  Does anyone know if he has stopped producing tracks?  It's probably been 2 or 3 months since ive seen anything new from him.   Cheers!

By the way, on further looking back I noticed that @heaners AND @kartom reported that the highest page number they were seeing was about 413.  For two users to be reporting (essentially) the same thing, this suggests that there is more to this than just the "completely new base for the forums". Off the top of my head, I would consider that different browser codebases (Chromium vs Safari vs Firefox, as the most common ones) may handle the forum pageination differently.

Would you please accept my apology for what I wrote in haste attributing my reply to you rather

than to @heaners .  It had been a long day and I was glad to get home after an very unpleasant

gastroscopy ~~ (it was preferable to the colonoscopy that I had 2 weeks ago) but I must admit

that ny reply was one of the first thing that I did on getting home, I should have had my tea and

toast before putting finger to keyboard.

It's now gone four in the morning and I can't sleep , but my mood is better :)

cordially, BJ

Your apology is most definitely accepted, and hugely appreciated. Additionally, I trust that whatever reason for you needing ANY "oscopies" gets worked out. Tea and toast is a lovely idea (Geordie transplanted to Canada here), and I hope you get some sleep soon.

All the best,

Richard

It's just old age catching up on me: Sacot1 gong so suddenly last month made me wake up to how

much work I'm doing considering that I'm well past 10 years older than Scottie ~ trouble is that I love

ing.work  Current 'oscopies' are only because I've sudenly become anaemic, but I do have a six-monthly

one this Friday to check for a recurrence of the bladder cancer that came, went and then re-occurred,

I had a course of chemo September last and this will be the first checkup since then.
