I the case of the Slep Reissues, it was usually because someone had sued them. Shakin' Stevens Lawyer/Agent/Manager tried the same thing with Zoom at one point, trying to bully the company to stop selling the Shakin' Stevens Discs, but I guess that one got resolved...
