Pootle Posted June 28 Report Posted June 28 I think I will make a start on Squid 3. I finally watched the 1st season last year and 2nd season a few weeks ago, it's a bit bizarre but, I have to know what happens. 1 1
Pootle Posted July 7 Report Posted July 7 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I'm all sported out today so, I'm going to give Heads of State a watch. As it's advertised everywhere it must be good. 2
Pootle Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 The new Alien TV show is out next month This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up it looks pretty good so I've started on the films. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Great film, looks a little dated but not a 45 year old 70's film. 2
Pootle Posted July 13 Report Posted July 13 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The new Stephen King book based TV show starts today, only the 1st episode This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up but, it's Stephen King so I have to give it a watch. 2
Pootle Posted July 21 Report Posted July 21 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I watched the new Superman at the cinema. I spent the 2 hours feeling as if I had missed the start. It was as if it is a 6 part tv show in half hour episodes and I was binging it but had missed the 1st 2 episodes. It didn't really go anywhere, didn't explain where anything had come from, he has a superdog, that was just there for no particular reason, as if it has always been there. They used the word Metahuman about 50 times, which I hadn't heard before, not sure what that is. I think it is more of a watch at home film, considering the price of a cinema ticket. 1
Pootle Posted July 24 Report Posted July 24 The new series of Mr Bigstuff is out today, Danny Dyer- This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I watched the 1st series last year, can't remember if I liked it or not. I'll have to make a start on the new episodes This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up even if it does have Danny Dyer the Professional C**T from Eastenders. 1
bb5victor Posted July 24 Report Posted July 24 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Adult drama. Psycho-horror. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up is related to it. People getting on each others' nerves. Ibsen could have written it. Uncomfortable tone, but great camerawork around the dinner table. 1 1
Pootle Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I watched Happy Gilmore 2 last night, This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It was enjoyable, I can see why it wasn't a cinema release. A nice bit of nostalgia to while away 90 minutes. whilst it isn't as funny as the first one, it still had its moments. Some pretty big names in golf had a cameo and there was a nice nod to the Actors/Actresses that have died since the 1st one. Mostly predictable plot that didn't make me clock watch. I give it 6 out of 10. 1
Pootle Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I fell asleep about half an hour in, because I was tired. From what I saw I'm looking forward to watching the rest of it tonight. It is definitely a very modernised take the story but, so far it looks an interesting update. 1
Pootle Posted August 4 Report Posted August 4 The 14th series of King of the Hill returns today, after a 15 year break. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up and it has pretty good reviews. I wonder if Beavis is still whacking in Hank's tool shed!
Pootle Posted August 4 Report Posted August 4 I'm rewatching the Naked Gun films before I see the new one with Liam Neeson at the cinema. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I knew I enjoyed the 1st one all those years ago but, it is still so funny. liberallesbo Posted August 4 Report Posted August 4 It's summer, we usually go away for a few days to Martha's Vineyard, but with the sh!t going down in our home country, the wife and I are heading off to Long Beach, British Columbia. In honor of our summer beach vacation, my wife is insisting we all sit round tonight, and watch... ... again. Timeless classic though! This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up 1

Although, the sun at this time of year would be too much for me. 1
liberallesbo Posted August 5 Report Posted August 5 You're right P The book is great... aint that the way though? A book plugs itself into your brain, you fill in all the shadows and mystery with your own imagination and you get excited in ways a movie can't replicate. Or at least that's how it works with me 1
Pootle Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 I watched Mickey 17 last night. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up During a human expedition to colonize space, Mickey 17, a so-called "expendable" employee, is sent to explore an ice planet. They have a people printer , old spam and other bits of rubbish as the ink, in the future. It's banned on earth for morall and ethical reasons but, 4 years into space... Poor Mickey is sent on all sorts of missions and if he dies, flops out of the printer the next morning. It's hard to say much about it without giving to much away as it is a novel idea, sort of. I really enjoyed it, well acted, didn't seem over 2 hours long. Not the best film ever, for entertainment value and resting of an evening I will give it a 7.5. Going to watch Eddington tonight. liberallesbo Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 My wife's away for work for a few days, so last night my dad and I snuggled up like I was a kid again and we watched... ... for the umpteenth time. Still one of my all-time favorites though. 1

An iconic film, my grandparents wanted to watch it when it premiered on TV, Christmas '84 I'm guessing. 1

Pootle Posted Sunday at 09:05 AM Report Posted Sunday at 09:05 AM I watched Azerbaijan grand prix 2025 Qualifying last night, loads of action. I haven't seen that many red flags since I looked in on a divorced women's group. Hope the Grand Prix at midday will be as good. Go Max!
Pootle Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago I watched the new Tulsa King episode the other day, enjoyed that. Hope this series continues to be a top show, even if Sly is a bit weird looking these days. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The 1st episode of the final series of Brassic, enjoyed that but could have done with a double episode as a series starter. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The new season of Slow Horses is out too. I'll wait for next weeks episode as I do enjoy a double episode of that show.
