On Saturday May 6th 2017, I married the most beautiful woman ever, after dating her for four amazing years. In front of about 200 guests, and looking straight at my father -- a stern ex-US Army officer of some 25 years service -- dressed in his sharpest uniform, she sang this... And as she started that first line, "Oh Shenandoah, I love your daughter..." my dad burst into floods of tears and (also ex-officer) mom had to wrap him in her arms and give him a serviette. Eight years later, mom has passed, and dad has moved in with us, but the love is stronger than ever. 2 2
