Last Breath (2025) I just got through watching Last Breath, without knowing anything about the movie, and was pleasantly surprised with a riveting and nail biting experience. Last Breath is a 2025 movie, staring Woody Harrelson, and directed by Alex Parkinson. It follows seasoned deep-sea saturation divers working in the North Sea, on the undersea oil pipelines, as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface. Whats more amazing is that it's based on a true story, it is an incredible story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible. I really enjoyed this movie. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting for what was going to happen next. Pretty amazing story, and what a job in real life. I commend those men and women for what they do. Defiantly a must watch. Another Skydancer Top Pick...

I actually enjoyed this show. It was a little slow at times, but get passed that, and it was a good series. I totally agree that season 1 and 2 were much better. HBO have confirmed there will be a season 4, but as of yet there isn't any dates.

Although this movie has not been released yet, we don't yet have a thread for new up and coming movies. Maybe we need one. The new live action movie of How To Train Your Dragon is due for release on June 13th. There has been a number of CGI animated movies, and shows, but this is the first live action movie of the franchise, created by Dreamworks. Its all about a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed. The story begins long ago up North on the Island of Berk, the young Viking, Hiccup, wants to join his town's fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, Stoik the Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless, Hiccup ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can't bring himself to kill it. Instead, Hiccup and the dragon, whom he dubs Toothless, begin a friendship that would open up both their worlds as the observant boy learns that his people have misjudged the species. But even as the two each take flight in their own way, they find that they must fight the destructive ignorance plaguing their world. This is going to be an amazing movie. I'm so excited to see this...

The Layover (2017) I decided to add this movie after all the interest in Alexandra Daddrio. The Layover is directed by William H. Macy. The Layover is an R-rated comedy starring Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddrio. The movie has its moments but it's clear from its trailers what to expect. Being largely panned from critics, I personally found the movie fun and very entertaining. The comedy isn't too forced in many ways. Predictable and television type humor. The movie isn't too long which passes time quickly, though other than most there is some entertainment watching both leads interact with one another. It's a light hearted comedy, perhaps some critics are being too harsh. It's what to expect. A fun and enjoyably entertaining movie, and defiantly worth consideration. I would watch it again just to watch Kate and Alexandra...

San Andreas (2015) Another great movie to watch is San Andreas, directed by Brad Peyton, and stars Dwayne Johnson - The Rock. San Andreas is not just another disaster movie, it starts with an action scene, ends with an action scene, and in-between the pace is almost as relentless as the wave of destruction. It just doesn’t stop. The plot is about the San Andreas fault line in California that is experiencing a statewide earthquake that goes on record as easily the biggest earthquake in history. Dwayne Johnson plays Ray Gaines, a helicopter rescue pilot for the Los Angeles Fire Department, who is trying to find his daughter, Blake (Alexandra Daddario), who is in San Francisco amid all the chaos. Ray's estranged wife, Emma, is forced to turn to Ray for help, as he is her last resort. Together they journey to save their daughter. If you want action from start to finish, look no further. Defiantly worth adding to your watch list. Another Skydancer thumbs up. Bring popcorn...

Two great movies. I really enjoyed A Thousand Blows, Ive not watched The Penguin yet. I just added it to my To-Do-List... Yay!! I wanted to add this movie too, that I just re-watched again. Geostorm. A 2017 movie directed by Dean Devlin, and staring Gerard Butler. What if, in the wake of more than a decade of devastating weather events, we finally found a way to control Mother Nature and the destruction her tirades entail? When catastrophic climate change endangers Earth’s very survival, world governments unite and create Project Dutch Boy: a global net of satellites surrounding the planet that are armed with geo-engineering technologies designed to stave off the natural disasters. After successfully protecting the planet for two years, something is starting to go wrong. Two estranged brothers (Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess) are tasked with solving the program’s malfunction before a worldwide geostorm can engulf the planet. Very enjoyable movie, with some spectacular special effects. Defiantly a thumbs up from me....

Another movie worth a mention is 6 Underground, a 2019 American action movie directed by Michael Bay. It follows a group of people who fake their deaths and decide to form a vigilante team in order to stage a coup d'état against a ruthless dictator. Four years after witnessing the horrors of a brutal regime in the Middle Eastern nation of Turgistan, an unnamed American billionaire and philanthropist who made his fortunes from inventing Neodymium magnets fakes his own death to form an anonymous vigilante squad to take down criminals and terrorists that governments will not touch. Neodymium are micro magnets which One can control using electronic devices and turn into a weapon. One realized that the Governments don't help people who need it, and his billions were not going to be enough. So, he decided to solve the root of the problem by himself. Now known as "One" (Ryan Reynolds), recruits five other people to abandon their pasts and join his cause as "Ghosts": Two (Melanie Laurent) (Camille), a spy; Three (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) (Javier), a hit-man (he was a Colombian assassin working for the drug mafia); Four (Ben Hardy) (Billy), a Parkour runner and thief (One met him after he had stolen a really expensive diamond set & was betrayed by his partners after the robbery and left for dead); Five (Adria Arjona) (Amelia), a doctor; and Six (Dave Franco), a driver. One stores all their past records inside the hulk of an abandoned plane in the California desert, which is also their base of operations. If you are looking for action, look no further. I would certainly give this movie my recommendation. It got mixed reviews, however, I loved it ...

Another great thread. I have just watched a movie called The Gorge. Its based around two highly-trained operatives (Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy) who are appointed posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within. They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it's too late. Didn't know what to expect of this movie, however now that I have watched it, I would totally recommend it. At times I was on the edge of seat. Loved it.
